Numancia B beat Cebrereña and earn place in promotion play-offs

Alex Huerta's side edge a hard-fought game with goals from Ferrer, Alfredo and Moha

Numancia B earned a 3-2 away victory over Cebrereña and clinched fourth place in the National League Championship Third Division (fourth tier) which qualifies them for a place in the promtion play-offs for a spot in Segunda B (the third tier). They also did it in grand style, after a ding-dong battle, twice overturning an adverse scoreline and with Jara stopping a penalty.

Cebrereña were playing with the threat of relegation hanging over them, and the game turned out to be an especially hard one. In what was an end-to-end affair, the hosts took the lead initially and went in with their one-goal advantage at half time. In the second half, ten spectacular minutes from the Numantinos allowed Alex Huerta's side to turn everything around with Ferrer and Alfredo both netting.

With the Rojillos now ahead, Cebrereña earned a penalty, but Jara stopped it and kept the visitors' lead intact. With just ten minutes to go, the green-and-whites managed to level the scores at 2-2. There was little time for any heroics, but Numancia B managed to pull it off, with Moha sending the ball into the top corner to make it 2-3, thus completing a great feat from the Numancia reserve squad.
